About Our Theatre
Mission & Vision
The Stebens Children’s Theatre is a non-profit corporation providing training in theatre arts to students, elementary through high school. This training includes classes in all areas of theatre including acting, stagecraft and technical production. The theatre provides frequent productions to utilize this training.The theatre currently serves more than 200 students through 7 tier classes and workshops through the year. SCT produces five productions produced for the main stage and a community wide variety show.
The mission of the theatre is to introduce young people to live theatre by providing instruction and hands-on experience in all facets of production while offering quality family entertainment to the North Iowa area.

Why We Are Different?
Our Directors & Teachers: Our directors and teachers have not only professional theatre experience, but also have youth theatre educational backgrounds, which enables them to provide the best theatrical and educational experience in our rehearsals and in our tier classes.

Our Theatre Operation: We pride ourselves on being solely a youth theatre serving the very young to age 18. Our theatre productions are worked on by our youth and presented professionally to communities of Iowa and we have patrons come from all over the midwest.

Our Programs: Our tier classes focus on the social, emotional, and creative aspects of our youth and lessons and material provided are based on National Core Art Standards, which ensure that your youth is receiving the best and most robust theatrical, educational, and fun and creative experience.

The Children's Theatre Foundation
The mission of the Foundation is to secure gifts of money or property to provide economic assistance to the Stebens Children’s Theatre. One form of giving is through Planned Gifts.
